North Texas Land Clearing FAQ

Professional land clearing, forestry mulching, grading and rural property improvement with straightforward quotes and equipment built for North Texas conditions.

Answers to common questions about land clearing, forestry mulching, grading, driveways and rural property work in North Texas.

Can you quote a job without coming out?

Often, yes. Send clear photos, the property address, approximate acreage or length, and a short description of the finished result you want. Many forestry mulching, fence-line and driveway jobs can be priced from that information. Larger or more complex projects may need a site walk.

What is the difference between forestry mulching and land clearing?

Forestry mulching grinds brush and small trees into mulch in place, which is often ideal for reclaiming acreage while limiting ground disturbance. Traditional land clearing is a better fit when you need material removed, stumps handled, or a cleaner construction-ready surface.

Do I need to be there while you work?

Not usually. When possible, we like to walk the property with you at the beginning so we are clear about what stays, what goes and what finished result you expect.

Do you haul off brush?

With forestry mulching, most vegetation is processed into mulch and left on site. For projects that require debris removal or a construction-ready finish, tell us during the quote process so we can price the right scope.

Will grass come back after forestry mulching?

Often, yes, depending on mulch depth, existing grass, sunlight, moisture and follow-up maintenance. The mulch can help cover bare soil and retain moisture while it breaks down.

Will cedar and mesquite grow back?

Cedar generally does not resprout when cut below its living branches. Mesquite can resprout from its root system, so some properties benefit from follow-up mowing, treatment or maintenance.

Will your equipment tear up my property?

We use tracked equipment that spreads machine weight over a larger footprint. Ground conditions still matter, so we avoid unnecessary work in saturated areas when rutting would be a problem.

Can you build or repair gravel driveways and ranch roads?

Yes. We handle driveways and ranch roads, including grading, base preparation and drainage-related shaping. Material needs depend on the existing road, soil and traffic.

Do you do building pads and drainage work?

Yes. See our grading and site prep service for pads, drainage correction and other ground-shaping work.

Who handles utility locates?

Any digging or trenching needs proper utility locating before work begins. We confirm required markings are in place before digging.

Can clearing help with an agricultural or wildlife valuation?

Brush management can be part of a Texas agricultural or wildlife-management plan, but eligibility and documentation depend on the property, plan and appraisal district. Check with the appropriate appraisal district or advisor. If your property uses honeybees as part of an agricultural valuation strategy, our sister business Ten Box Bees offers honeybee leasing for Texas ag-exemption properties.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Johnson County and work across surrounding North Texas communities, including Fort Worth and southwest Tarrant County. See our North Texas service areas.

How does payment work?

You receive a written quote before work starts. A deposit holds your place on the schedule, and the remaining balance is due when the agreed work is complete. See how our pricing works.

How do I get an estimate?

Send photos, the property address, approximate acreage or length, access details and a short description of what you want the property to look like when finished.
